I have an Acer Aspire E380
Who have an AMD Athlon 64 X2 has 4200 + / 2.2 GHz dual-core processor.

What would it take on this PC into a platform to make decent game, as something that could play Fallout 3, at least they have the configuration, or better again? I am not a budget is too high, now allowed, what would you recommend?

Even a short word I had hoped to add link on my TV are both components and plug-HDMI, VGA, but not the plugins, it's a way to connect without that terrible?

Sorry, it's a long question, but I tried to ensure that all relevant information never updated the graphics card or power supply before, so this is all kind of new to me.

Thank you for your time!
:)

Please add as much information! Thus, the problem is much easier to answer!

First things first, more RAM. It is cheap and can make a big difference in speed to make. Your computer can be up to 4 GB. The other 2 GB is expected to less than $ 50 in total.

A new video card is probably another good investment. Should be for about € 100, you will be able to get a GeForce 9800GT (see example in my source). It is a sound card, but can not with "Top of the line. As for HDMI, just buy a DVI-> HDMI cable and use it to connect to your TV (see the source. .. This cable is so Monster Cable trying to sell almost $ 100 + Best Buy, but costs less than $ 12).

Your processor is in order. Maybe you need to find a better energy supply. With a high-end card, video, 300W power supply can not cut. Hopefully Acer uses a standard ATX power supply, in which case you should replace in the position, a 500W (more than enough) for about $ 50. I contacted Acer before buying, to ensure that the use of a stationNDARDS power. If they do, then ask if they sell power supplies supported. Nothing will be enough to 500W.

In general, these 3 updates (power supply, video card and RAM) are to clock in under $ 200 and is a significant performance improvement. From what I read about Fallout 3 in order to investigate this, it should run very well after these updates.

Good luck!

You need a real graphics card ... PCI-Express. It also requires a greater supply of energy to upgrade the video card.
According to CNet. You have a PCI-E 2.0 slot ... Yes, I want a 9600GT (Link Here) http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as ... and the supply of 450-500W power.

In addition, upgrading memory can be a good option if you use Windows Vista. If you run XP, you're probably good for now. But it may be a factor. The 2 most important things you should carry your food, and the graphics card.

This majorly enhance its video capabilities. Maybe I can do something less expensive if you need to know me.

Do not go for NVIDIA, which is too expensive, too, though some are better than ATI ATI is a lot cheaper and high performance.

Would you like to http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as PSU ...

and the graphics card, if your price range of less than $ 100

ATI 4830 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as ...

And with that card, if your price range $ 130

ATI 4850 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.as ...

Both PSU's are better than the GTX 9600/9800

TV is an HDTV has a resolution of 1380 x 768 video-capable? If the answer is yes, then please help improve for the games.
Let us by your power supply is only 300 watts at a time. You want a diet that choose to not less than 400 watts, which is saying a power source, the more than 600 watts over kill. Holidays for a PSU like this: 1 must be either 24 or 20 + 4-pin connector on the motherboard. 2 need at lease 2 SATA ports.

Now the graphics card.
